Sue Woodward

Sue Woodward spent her childhood riding horses and playing in the outdoors.  This love of nature led Sue to earn a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology, focusing primarily on ornithology.

After graduation, Sue worked as a Naturalist for both state parks and nature centers, in between working as a zookeeper of North American birds and rehabilitating birds of prey.  The More-Than-Human-World is a special place for Sue to find a strong connection that also offers solace and healing.

Upon discovering the basis and gifts of Shinrin-yoku, the Japanese art of Forest Bathing, Sue studied Forest Therapy and became a certified guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.  Guiding folks on Forest Therapy walks is the greatest gift of reciprocity and love of nature that Sue feels she can offer in this current world that often feels disconnected and stressful.

To date, Sue’s guiding has been in the Tulsa area.  The natural beauty of Oklahoma’s forests is a great place to get in touch with not only nature, but yourself.
