Join us at the Forest for the traditional Celtic celebration of welcoming the spring and the re-emergence of the sun!
St. Brigid’s Day/Brigid’s Day/Imbolc marks the traditional beginning of spring among Celtic cultures.
We will spend time throughout the weekend in meditation, story, song, and celebration as we begin to turn our hearts and thoughts toward the blessings of springtime.

1:30-4:30 Arrive and settle in

6:30 Opening gathering and the striking of the sacred fire
February 1
7-9 a.m. Breakfast in silence
8 a.m. Morning Meditation, with a walk to the Cave of the Mothers to retrieve the sacred light
9:30 a.m. Butter and Soda Bread Making
11:00 Free Time
12:00 p.m. Noon Meditation
1:30 Celtic Traditions and Crafts
3:30 Irish Tea Time
4:30 Afternoon Meditation
5:30 Dinner
6:30 Sharing in music, stories, and company around the fire

David MacDonald
David is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church, as well as a Benedictine monk, as a member of the dispersed St. Brigid of Kildare monastery.
